Paris Saint Germain president Nasser Al Khelaifi failed to sign Milan Skriniar despite contacting Inter president Steven Zhang, according to a report in the French media today.

As has been reported by Le Parisien in the French capital on Friday morning, the president of PSG made direct contact with Steven Zhang to try and convince him to sell Milan Skriniar but it did not work and PSG have been left without their long-term target.

It even reportedly crossed Nasser Al Khelaifi’s mind to fly to Milan and try to get the deal over the line in person. It was clear throughout the day that the Nerazzurri were not going to budge and the Slovakian would not be leaving the club.

They took the player off of the market a couple of weeks ago once it was decided that it would be too late to sign a replacement if they accepted a bid.
