Inter and AC Milan could be playing in a new stadium by 2027 if the roadmap that has become clear gets followed, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, the two teams are hoping that if all goes to plan, 2027 is the year they will finally be in their new stadium having presented the project eight years ago.

The public debate is set to begin on September 19, as was confirmed by Milan mayor Beppe Sala and that should be completed by the end of October.

They must then wait for Pillon’s report and then the opinion of the city council and the two clubs on what has been brought forward.

If everything goes smoothly, the work can start at the end of next year and give Inter and AC Milan their new home by 2027: for a 1.2 billion project, at least 80 million each per season will enter the coffers of the two teams.
