Inter coach Simone Inzaghi has said that his team need to work on the key moments in games and he praised the quality of Bayern Munich, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.

Speaking during an interview with Inter TV after the 3-2 defeat against AC Milan on Saturday night, via FCInternews, the Italian manager lamented the fact that Inter did not do what they needed to do in the key moments of the match.

“We have to work on the aspects of this match, on that half-hour blackout where we conceded two goals to Milan that were too easy.

“Then we created many situations, but that blackout cost us a lot. We have to work on that. In the key moments we had to be better at directing them towards us, both with Milan and against Lazio we had an empty passage that cost us dearly.”

There were chances in the game for the Nerazzurri to take control such as when they got the first goal in the first half. They did not capitalise on that and ended up conceding an equaliser before the halftime break.

The next opponent for Inter will be Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League group stage at San Siro. Simone Inzaghi is clearly very concerned by the quality of the German champions.

“It will be a very difficult match that we will try to prepare in the best possible way. We’re challenging one of the strongest teams in Europe, but we’re Inter and we’ll play it.”
