Inter striker Lautaro Martinez has said that the Nerazzurri must remember what happened during the derby last season where AC Milan won with two late goals, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.
Speaking during an interview with DAZN ahead of the match against the Rossoneri at San Siro, via FCInter1908, the Argentine forward talked about how there is a lot of studying that goes into these games and they must keep in their minds what happened in the same fixture last season.
“Many things go through your head, we have to do what we studied during the week and remember what happened last year.”
He is referring to the game where Inter were 1-0 up and on top, but then suddenly conceded two goals from Olivier Giroud in the final quarter of the game and lost 2-1. That result was later pinpointed as where the Scudetto race swung in the favour of the Rossoneri rather than Inter.
He will be partnered by Joaquin Correa today rather than Romelu Lukaku who is injured and in the Argentine, he said: “They are all different forwards, I will change little because my way of playing is always the same. Today we have to do our best for Inter to win.”
