Bayern Munich head coach Julian Nagelsmann has said that he does not expect Inter to just defend during the game between the two sides on Wednesday night, according to a report in the Italian media.

As has been reported by FCInternews, the German coach was asked about the Champions League group stage fixture after Bayern Munich’s 1-1 draw with Union Berlin in the Bundesliga on Saturday afternoon.

He stressed that he does not want to go into details about his assessments of Inter’s squad and ways of playing ahead of the game but he suggested that he is expecting a lot of attacking play from the Nerazzurri at San Siro on Wednesday night.

“Inter play a bit differently. They have nice movements, but I won’t go into details now, otherwise they might do something different. However, I don’t think Inter will limit themselves to just defending. Our energy level must be like that of the previous games.”

Inter are not a team with a reputation for only defending in these sorts of matches, especially as the home team. They will have to be very wary of the immense attacking talent in the Bayern Munich squad though.
