Both Theo Hernandez and Olivier Giroud risked getting red cards for AC Milan against Inter in the Derby della Madoninna on Saturday evening, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport today, there were two flash points where the referee, Daniele Chiffi, could have taken a different route that may have seen the game end very differently for Inter.

In one moment, Olivier Giroud had already been shown a yellow card for an altercation with Milan Skriniar before he then directed clear anger towards the referee with an arm gesture that could feasibly have resulted in a second yellow card on another day.

There was also Theo Hernandez who was on a yellow card for much of the game and then the ref chose not to give a foul which if he had blown for, would have meant a second yellow for him.
