Former AC Milan midfielder Massimo Ambrosini has aid that Inter made the last 30 minutes of the Derby on Saturday evening very exciting, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.

As has been reported by FCInternews, the former player was talking whilst on DAZN and he appeared very excited by the overall entertainment value of the game that ended 3-2 in AC Milan’s favour.

He pointed out that there was a lot more pace to the game than is necessarily expected from games in Serie A at the moment.

“You don’t always see matches of this level, compliments must be paid to both teams. We criticise Serie A for the pace, but Milan and Inter did not spare themselves, especially after the first goal. People’s enthusiasm was not only for the goals, but also for the spectacle offered on the pitch.”

He then explained that whilst AC Milan were the better team over the entire game, the Nerazzurri made the last chunk very exciting as they got back to 3-2 thanks to a goal from Edin Dzeko who had just come onto the pitch.

“Milan overall was superior, Inter made the match exciting in the last half hour. Over the 90 minutes the team that interpreted the match better won.”

There has been a big inquest into why Inter’s defence appears so much weaker this season.
