Former Juventus and AC Milan coach Fabio Capello has said that Romelu Lukaku is ‘irrepressible’ when on the break for Inter, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.
Speaking during an interview with Radio Deejay, via FCInternews, the former coach spoke in glowing terms about the player who is currently injured after returning to Inter from Chelsea on a loan deal in the summer.
The Belgian suffered a thigh injury in training after the defeat against Lazio and has since missed two matches. He has travelled back to Belgium to undergo his recovery for a few days and is not expected back until the end of September at the earliest.
Despite this absence, Fabio Capello focused on how good the former Manchester United forward is when his team are on the counter-attack.
“Inter’s skill was to bring out his best characteristic. When he starts on the counter-attack he is irrepressible, in Italy there are no defenders who can stop him.
“The only one who could was Chiellini, who spent a foul not to let him go. Now he is finding a little less space, but he remains a player of a certain weight.”
Inter are struggling for consistent form this season haveing already lost two of their opening five Serie A matches.
