Inter’s defence has regressed this season and it could be due to the summer of rumours and possible movement, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been suggested by a report in La Gazzetta dello Sport today, the Nerazzurri back line appears to be worse than it was last season and it could be blamed on all of the market noise this summer.

The idea of Milan Skriniar being sold to Paris Saint-Germain has been lingering over the squad for a long time and it was also clear that there was not a perfect replacement in the market once Gleison Bremer had gone to Juventus.

There was also the wait for a sixth defender to join which only happened on the final day of the market when Francesco Acerbi arrived.

In the time this has been happening, the existing defence appears to have lost its way and they have conceded eight goals in just five Serie A games.
