Bayern Munich defender Matthijs de Ligt has said that Inter will be a difficult opponent who have a lot of experience in their ranks, according to a report in the German broadcast media. 

Speaking during an interview with Bayern Munich’s official channels, via FCInternews, the former Juventus defender spoke with very recent experience about what Bayern Munich will be facing when they travel to San Siro on Wednesday night.

The Dutchman made the move from Juventus to the Bundesliga fairly late in the windows this will be his first trip back to Italy since the switch. The teams are facing them in their first Champions League group game of the season.

He stressed that the Nerazzurri will be a very difficult opponent and they are a team that have got a lot of experience to call upon.

“Inter is a difficult opponent. They have a very experienced team and physically strong players. They always play the same way, in a proven 3-5-2 system.”
