Striker Edin Dzeko is set to be given the starting spot in attack alongside Lautaro Martinez in Wednesday’s Champions League clash with Bayern Munich.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the 36-year-old will come into the starting eleven for Joaquin Correa to face the German champions.

Dzeko started Saturday’s Serie A derby loss to AC Milan on the bench, but the Bosnian made an impact in his substitute appearance during the second half, helping to hold the ball up for teammates in the final third and giving the Nerazzurri hope with his goal to make it 3-2.

Coach Simone Inzaghi is set to give the Bosnian the chance from the start on Wednesday, with Martinez remaining the focal point in attack.

Meanwhile, the Gazzetta reports that all of Robin Gosens, Federico Dimarco, and Matteo Darmian are playing for a starting spot in the left-wingback position.
