Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi has told his players to put the defeat against AC Milan in the first Milan derby of the season on Saturday behind them and focus on moving ahead.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who report that the Nerazzurri coach has stressed not dwelling on the defeat and working to get back on track as soon as this Wednesday’s Champions League group stage opener against Bayern Munich.

Inter have been working in training so that they can produce a response to the disappointment of losing to the Rossoneri in the derby over the weekend, but Inzaghi has been keen to stress to his players that they don’t need to get weighed down by the loss.

The coach has asked his players to only look forward with plenty of time ahead of them to make up for early stumbles, and ordered them to let go of the frustration of Saturday’s loss and believe that they can be at their best when they take to the pitch against Bayern.
