Inter’s directors have made clear to coach Simone Inzaghi that there needs to be a significant reaction following Saturday evening’s 3-2 Serie A defeat at the hands of AC Milan.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the Nerazzurri directors have warned Inzaghi that the response must be a drastic one given the issues that have been appearing all season.

Inzaghi made no secret of the fact that he is frustrated and searching for answers in his comments after the derby loss over the weekend.

The former Lazio coach has had a very up-and-down start to the season, having come under fire for some of his tactical decisions, as well as selections in the starting eleven and substitutions.

Now, Inzaghi will have to start fixing the cracks that are plainly visible, and will have to start doing so quickly.

The directors have made clear to the coach that the reaction cannot be one of slow and steady progress, and that they expect to see action taken quickly to give the team a shock to the system as they feel that the current ideas have not been working.
