French Referee Clement Turpin has been appointed to be in charge of Inter’s Champions League clash with Bayern Munich on Wednesday.

This is confirmed by an announcement of the officials for the first group stage matches in the competition by UEFA, via FCInterNews, which also lists the rest of the crew who will be in charge of the fixture.

Turpin is an experienced referee at the European level and has taken charge of a number of high-profile fixtures in recent seasons, most recently the Champions League final between Real Madrid and Liverpool in May.

The French referee will be assisted in his duties by the likes of Nicolas Danos and Cyril Gringore, whilst the role of fourth official will be filled by Rudy Busquet.

In the VAR booth, the likest of Jerome Brisard and Willy Delajod will oversee the action to ensure that any clear and obvious errors made by the on-pitch officials are corrected.
