Inter striker Edin Dzeko is expected to start tomorrow’s Champions League group stage opener against Bayern Munich, and if there’s a player in the Nerazzurri’s squad who knows how to hurt the German champions it’s the 36-year-old.

This is highlighted in today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who note that the Bosnian has found the back of the net four times against the Bavarians during his time as a Wolfsburg player, and won’t likely be intimidated by the sight of them.

For many Nerazzurri players, tomorrow’s match will be the first time that they set foot on the pitch against Bayern, and the German team undoubtedly come with a certain aura particularly given their recent dominance domestically and, to a lesser extent, in Europe.

For Dzeko, however, there is no mystique, as the Bosnian knows exactly what it’s like to play against the Bavarians and to score.
