Inter’s starting eleven could be given a reshuffle by coach Simone Inzaghi if he continues to see complacency from some of his most trusted players for much longer.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri coach could be ready to rotate the team and put the starters’ places under threat to try and get the best out of them.

Apart from a couple of positions of some doubt, it is broadly clear what the team that Inzaghi considers to be his strongest looks like, and in the matches so far this season the coach has mostly gone with what he knows.

However, the strongest eleven on paper has been showing complacency at the start of the season, with a number of players not playing at the levels that they have in the past.

The coach has made clear to all of his players that there is competition for starting places, that no one player’s spot is safe, and that if they can’t prove themselves with their current performances, they will not keep getting into the starting lineup based on reputation.
