Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi is set to make some significant changes to his starting eleven to face Bayern Munich in the Champions League this evening from the team that lost to AC Milan over the weekend.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Corriere della Sera, who report that the coach is aiming to send a strong message about what he wants from his team with the changes, emphasizing playing their game with energy and attacking intent.

Inzaghi largely went with his strongest team on paper in Saturday’s derby against the Rossoneri, but the coach’s faith in his most trusted players was not rewarded as the team seemed to switch off for around thirty minutes to throw away the match, losing 3-2.

Against Bayern, there can be no complacency, and the so the coach won’t be afraid to shake things up with some alterations to the starting eleven, making clear that he will play whoever he thinks is most ready for the massive challenge of facing a team like the German champions.

Inzaghi does not want the team to play within their shell or have the kind of sluggish moments and lapses in concentration that characterized their performance against Milan, and so to this end he has decided to make some eye-catching rotations to the team.
