Inter could replace DigitalBits with a new main shirt sponsor as early as before the start of the FIFA World Cup in November.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri are already looking for a new sponsor to take the cryptocurrency company’s place within the next few weeks.

Inter had signed a four-year deal with DigitalBits, who have also been the main shirt sponsor for Serie A rivals Roma, over the summer, but already the deal looks to be completely untenable in the long term given the cryptocurrency company’s financial struggles.

As such, the Nerazzurri know full well that they cannot expect the full amount promised by the contract with the company to arrive and that they will have to find a new sponsor sooner rather than later.

The search is well underway, and could already find its conclusion as early as November.
