Legendary former Inter President Massimo Moratti is hoping that Suning and the Zhang family can resist offers to sell the Nerazzurri amid rumours that they are in talks to do so.

Speaking to Italian news service ANSA, as reported by FCInterNews, the former President stated that he is not very well aware of the situation around the current Inter owners, but voiced the hope that they would be able to avoid having to sell.

Suning have been linked with a sale of Inter for some time now, with the financial situation both with the club as well as with the Chinese country bringing about speculation around whether a sale could be on the way.

So far, any links to a possible sale have come to nothing, and Suning have always reaffirmed their commitment to continuing on as Inter owners, although yesterday yet another report emerged that Saudi sovereign wealth fund have made an improved offer that has reignited talks.

Moratti was asked about this, stating that “I honestly don’t know much, I can’t comment, but I hope that they’re able to resist offers.”
