Inter supporters at the San Siro were quite clearly frustrated with the display of forward Joaquin Correa in his appearance off the bench against Bayern Munich in the Champions League yesterday evening.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the crowd were visibly groaning and showing their irritation with the Argentine particularly as he missed what looked like an easy chance to get a goal back late in the second half.

Correa came on for a tiring Edin Dzeko towards the end of the second half of yesterday’s match, with the scoreline 2-0 in favour of the visitors and hope of getting a result out of the match increasingly fading for the Nerazzurri.

However, a rare error on the night from Bayern gave Inter a brief flash that something was possible for them as defender Lucas Hernandez all but gift-wrapped the ball for Correa in a shooting chance, but the 28-year-old blazed over the bar.

This summed up a fairly unimpactful evening for the former Lazio, Sevilla, and Sampdoria forward, with the Corriere giving him a score of 4.5/10 in their player ratings for the match to reflect a display that gave his team next to nothing.
