Yesterday evening’s 2-0 Champions League defeat to Bayern Munich piled even more frustration onto Inter’s locker room, which was hardly in the best condition to begin with after a tough start to the season.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the likes of Lautaro Martinez and Nicolo Barella in particularly are feeling the stress and frustration of a tough defeat in the Nerazzurri’s Champions League group stage opener.

Martinez cut a frustrated figure against the German champions, and the 25-year-old let his frustrations boil over on a few occasions, getting into a scuffle with Bayern midfielder Joshua Kimmich after the final whistle.

The Argentine is a key player at Inter, and having him in an unhappy mood could be a real problem for the team, which is even more true of midfielder Nicolo Barella.

Unlike Martinez, Barella’s issues stem from being completely excluded from yesterday’s match, as the 25-year-old sat on the bench without being used as a substitute, a state of affairs which could further agitate the Nerazzurri’s core of key players.
