Hakan Calhanoglu is the favourite to start in midfield for Inter in this evening’s Serie A clash with Torino.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Corriere della Sera, who report that the 28-year-old is ahead of Henrikh Mkhitaryan to start the match.
Inter coach Simone Inzaghi has not been shy about rotating his starting eleven over the first few matches of the season, and this has certainly been the case in midfield.
Nicolo Barella was left out of the lineup to face Bayern Munich in the Champions League during the week, with both Calhanoglu and Mkhitaryan starting on either side of Marcelo Brozovic in that match, but the 25-year-old is set to come back into the team against Torino.
Accordingly, it will be one of Calhanoglu or Mkhitaryan who will drop out of the team to make way for the returning Barella, and according to the Corriere della Sera, it will likely be Mkhitaryan.
