Inter cannot afford anything other than a victory in their Serie A clash with Torino if they are to stave off serious talks of a team in crisis.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who suggest that the Nerazzurri will need to take three points to prove that they are starting to get back on track or else deepen their misery following some recent high-profile losses.

Defeats at the hands of Lazio and AC Milan in Serie A and then Bayern Munich in the Champions League have been enough to put Inter teetering on the edge of a real crisis in form.

Things are not quite at the point where there is a genuine crisis, but the sense is that if Inter are to drop points in their Serie A match against Torino this evening, the tipping point could be reached.

A win could send an important message about the state of the team and put them right back on pace in the Scudetto race, but any other result would give a strongly negative impression coming after the start to the season the Nerazzurri have had.
