Inter captain Samir Handanovic is set to return to the starting eleven for this evening’s Serie A clash with Torino, whilst Andre Onana will get his second start for the club in the Champions League clash with Viktoria Plzen during the week.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Corriere della Sera, who report that the captain will be back in the team after having been left out for the Champions League group stage opener against Bayern Munich, but that Onana won’t have to wait long for another opportunity.
Inter coach Simone Inzaghi took the decision to hand Onana his first start in a Nerazzurri shirt after joining from Ajax during the summer in Wednesday’s Champions League clash with Bayern, with the Cameroonian acquitting himself well despite a difficult match.
Handanovic will play against Torino this evening in the league, but according to the Corriere della Sera, it will not be long before Onana is seen again as they predict that the coach is planning to start the 26-year-old against Viktoria.
