The final decision regarding Inter striker Romelu Lukaku’s fitness for Sunday’s Serie A clash with Udinese will be taken on Friday.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that the 29-year-old is back in training where he’s working individually and will continue to do so for the next couple of days, but that the decision about his availability to face Udinese will be made at the end of the week.

Lukaku returned to Milan from Belgium and made his return to training this morning, although he has only been able to work on his own as he completes his recovery, and he is not expected to return to full training with the rest of the squad tomorrow either.

The Belgian will not be part of the squad to face Viktoria Plzen in the Champions league on Tuesday, but his situation for the Udinese is less clear, and the decision will be made on Friday based on the progress of his recovery.
