Inter striker Romelu Lukaku is set to be back in Milan sometime today where he will continue to work towards recovery from the thigh strain that has caused him to miss the last few matches for the Nerazzurri.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the 29-year-old will return from Belgium in the coming hours, and that he is potentially targeting a return against Udinese, or if not then, after the international break.

Lukaku has been in Belgium where he has been conferring with national team medical staff about the timeline to get him at his best for the World Cup starting in November and working hard to get back to full fitness as soon as possible.

The Belgian believes that recovery is close, and that he could even be back on the pitch in time to play against Udinese in the Nerazzurri’s final Serie A match before the international break, but if this proves to be soon then he should certainly be fit to face Roma on the other side of the break.
