The outpouring of emotion that came after yesterday’s late 1-0 win over Torino could be the spark that finally sees Inter’s season find ignition after some early struggles.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who suggest that the Nerazzurri could finally be ready to start playing with some conviction and belief after earning three points in dramatic fashion from another tough match.

Inter had been absolutely desperate for the three points going into yesterday’s match, knowing that any other result would deepen the feeling that they are a team in crisis after losses to Lazio, AC Milan, and Bayern Munich so far this season.

It had looked for much of the match like this would be too much to ask, but the Nerazzurri crucially never gave up or dropped their shoulders, and on the contrary only pushed more frantically for the win as the second half wore on.

Inter were rewarded for their effort with three points after Marcelo Brozovic broke through late on, and the feeling of relief was palpable as the team, coach Simone Inzaghi, and the fans hardly held back their emotions.

Now, the Nerazzurri could begin to play with newfound conviction, witnessing what can happen when they back themselves and press for results even in difficult matches where they are not playing at their best.
