Inter defender Alessandro Bastoni is set to return to the starting eleven in tomorrow evening’s Champions League clash away to Viktoria Plzen.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the 23-year-old will be part of the lineup, whilst coach Simone Inzaghi still has several doubts regarding the wide areas and the attack.

Bastoni was not in the starting eleven for Saturday’s Serie A win over Torino, with Federico Dimarco starting on the left of the back three, although he came off the bench in the second half.

The former Parma and Atalanta defender is set to be back in the eleven tomorrow, however, whilst both Edin Dzeko and Joaquin Correa are in contention for a start alongside Lautaro Martinez in attack.

In the wide areas, Robin Gosens could be back in the team as he was against Bayern Munich, whereas Denzel Dumfries could be given a rest after a couple less-than-stellar outings, while all of Matteo Darmian, Federico Dimarco, and Raoul Bellanova are in contention to start on the flanks.
