Former Parma, Udinese, and Lazio defender feels that there will be a four-team race at the top of Serie A this season between Inter, AC Milan, Juventus, and Napoli, whilst Atalanta could spring a surprise.
Speaking to Italian news outlet TuttoMercatoWeb, Sensini gave his predictions for how the Scudetto race will go, suggesting that there are four main favourites including the Nerazzurri, whilst Atalanta’s early form makes them credible contenders.
Inter are among the teams to have been tipped as favourites for the Serie A title, and whilst their early form has been too mixed to say definitively that they are living up to expectations, the sense remains that the quality is there to fight for the title.
Meanwhile, the likes of Milan, Juventus, and Napoli are also among the teams to have been widely predicted as contenders for the title, whereas Atalanta had not had the same expectations on them but have earned recognition based on how they’ve gotten the season started.
“For now Atalanta are at the top, but I think Inter, Milan, Juventus, and Napoli will fight for it,” Sensini predicted. “I’m curious to see how long Atalanta will last. And then halfway through the championship is the World Cup.”
