Inter captain Samir Handanovic is set to be in the starting eleven for tomorrow evening’s Champions League group stage clash with Viktoria Plzen, but Andre Onana will be back in the lineup soon.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi is set to give Handanovic the start again after his excellent performance against Torino over the weekend, but that it won’t be long before Onana also starts again.

Onana made his Inter debut in last Wednesday’s Champions League group stage opener against Bayern Munich, whilst Handanovic returned to the starting eleven against Torino in Serie A on Satuday.

Both keepers made a compelling case to start against Viktoria with their performances, but according to the Corriere it is Handanovic who will be given the nod.

This does not mean that Onana won’t be given another opportunity again soon, however, with the Corriere reporting that Inzaghi is fully committed to rotating the 26-year-old into the team again.
