Inter striker Romelu Lukaku is set to miss this weekend’s Serie A clash with Udinese through injury, but will be back in the team for after the international break.

This according to Italian news outlet PazziDiFanta.com, who report that the 29-year-old will not recover from his thigh injury in time to play against the Bianconeri on Sunday, but that he’ll be fully recovered after the break.

Lukaku has missed out on the Nerazzurri’s past five matches, including this evening’s Champions League group stage clash with Viktoria Plzen, through a strain to his left thigh.

The possibility of the Belgian returning in time for the Nerazzurri’s match before the international break, an away trip to Udine to face Udinese, had been raised.

However, it now looks as though the striker will not quite be ready in time to play against the Friulians, but that he will be back for the team’s Serie A clash with Roma after the break.
