There remains an air of uncertainty to Inter defender Milan Skriniar’s contract situation despite what appeared to be reassuring words when speaking to the press yesterday.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the path is not yet straightforward for the 27-year-old to sign an extension on a deal which at the moment runs until the end of June 2023.

Skriniar was asked about his contract situation yesterday and in his answers he said that it’s not yet the time to talk about it and that there will be plenty of opportunities to deal with it without pressure, although he did note to SportMediaset that the fans know perfectly well that he always gives his all for the shirt.

The tone of the Slovakian’s statements was broadly reassuring, but the Gazzetta cautions that there is still a lot to be worked out between he and the club after a transfer saga involving him and Paris Saint-Germain that ended with him remaining at the club into the final season of his current deal.
