Inter wingback Denzel Dumfries looked like he was back to being the player who can give his team an extra push on the right with his performance against Viktoria Plzen yesterday evening.
This is the view in the player ratings for the match across Italian media, as highlighted by L’Interista, with the Dutchman praised for giving the team some cutting edge down his flank and once against showing how good he can be when he’s on form.
Dumfires had been one of the Inter players who had struggled most with the pressure of Torino in their 1-0 win on Saturday, as the 26-year-old failed to really work himself into the match, having also been off his best against Bayern Munich last week.
However, against Plzen the former PSV wingback looked a threat all evening and was good value for his goal, and all of the Gazzetta dello Sport, Tuttosport, TuttoMercatoWeb, and L’Interista awarded him with a 7/10 score whilst the Corriere dello Sport went to 7.5/10.
