Wingback Denzel Dumfries, striker Edin Dzeko, and midfielder Marcelo Brozovic were Inter’s three standout performers in their Champions League group stage win over Viktoria Plzen yesterday evening.

This is the view of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who single the trio’s performances out in the player ratings for the 2-0 victory against the Czech champions published in today’s print edition, giving each a solid 7/10 grade.

Dzeko scored the Nerazzurri’s opener with a well-taken strike from the corner of the box, whilst he set up Dumfries for the second to kill the game off, and the Dutchman was also a threat all night on his flank and not just in terms of his goal.

Meanwhile, Brozovic was not involved in either goal as he had been when he scored his team’s only goal against Torino over the weekend, but the Croat did everything else to dictate the tempo in midfield to ensure a straightforward victory for his team.
