Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic is finally starting to look closer to his best after a start to the season that has been inconsistent standards, if his performance against Viktoria Plzen yesterday evening was anything to go by.

This is the view across Italian media, with L’Interista noting that the 29-year-old received some of the most positive scores of his team in the player ratings for the match.

Brozovic has had some early struggles this season along with the rest of the team, with uncharacteristic sloppiness on display against difficult opponents such as AC Milan, Bayern Munich, and Torino.

However, the Croat picked himself up and gave the kind of display that fans have become used to to dictate the tempo of a straightforward victory away to Plzen.

The Gazzetta dello Sport gave Brozovic a rating of 7/10 for his performance, whilst the Corriere dello Sport went with 6.5/10, and 6/10 was the judgment of all of Tuttosport, TuttoMercatoWeb, and L’Interista.
