Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi has received praise for how he set his team up in yesterday evening’s Champions League group stage win over Viktoria Plzen.

The coach got solid scored across the board in the player ratings for the match in Italian media, as highlighted by L’Interista.

Plzen were not an easy match for Inter despite the gap in quality that exists between the two teams on paper, and Inzaghi could have taken a risk by sending out a team that had been heavily rotated from the side that beat Torino on Saturday.

However, the performance was an assured and controlled one, not Inter at their sparkling best but more than enough to comfortable win the match 2-0 without pushing themselves too hard.

All of the Gazzetta dello Sport, the Corriere dello Sport, Tuttosport, and L’Interista gave Inzaghi a grade of 6.5/10, whilst TuttoMercatoWeb went a little higher, awarding him a 7/10 score.
