Romelu Lukaku will still be out injured in Inter’s Serie A clash with Udinese on Sunday, but by the time the team returns from the international break he should be fully back fit.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Belgian will not be risked in the last match before the international break but is well on track to be recovered for the Nerazzurri’s matches on the other side of the break.
Lukaku’s fitness for Sunday’s match has looked to be somewhat touch and go, as the 29-year-old has been getting closer and closer to recovery from the thigh strain that has ruled him out of the Nerazzurri’s past five matches and could be very close by this weekend.
However, the sense is very clearly that he will not be risked before the break, and will take the next few days before the break as well as the international break itself to work his way to full fitness.
