Former Inter, Parma, and Monaco midfielder Sabri Lamouchi believes that the early struggles of Inter and Juventus will not keep them out of contention in Serie A this season.

Speaking to Italian news outlet TuttoMercatoWeb, the former French international gave his thoughts on the state of the teams at the top end of Serie A after the first few matches played, and emphasized that he feels the quality of the Nerazzurri and the Bianconeri can come through in the end.

Twelve points from eighteen is not the worst return for Inter from their first month in the league, but the sense is that damaging losses to Lazio and AC Milan in the league plus the defeat to Bayern Munich in the Champions League have raised doubts about their ability to mount a title charge.

Meanwhile, things are even worse for the Bianconeri who have had yet another torrid start to the campaign, but Lamouchi believes that they too can be right in it until the end once they find their feet.

“Milan have started well, and Inter and Juve have had some difficulties, but I think that they can be in it until the end and it will be a good title race,” he predicted.
