Captain Samir Handanovic and striker Edin Dzeko are favourites to start for Inter in this Sunday’s Serie A clash away to Udinese.
This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who report that coach Simone Inzaghi has not yet made his final decisions with regards to the starting eleven, but that both of the duo are in pole position to start against the Friulians.
In goal, captain Handanovic looks set to make his return to the starting eleven after Andre Onana had been given the opportunity to start against Viktoria Plzen in the Champions League during the week, impressing once again and keeping a clean sheet.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Roberto Gagliardini are both in contention to start in midfield in view of the injury picked up by Hakan Calhanoglu, whilst Lautaro Martinez is set to start in attack after being rested against Plzen, and Dzeko is the favourite to start alongside the Argentine.
