Inter CEO Beppe Marotta has been keeping track of the progress of young striker Martin Satriano on the Uruguayan’s loan spell with Empoli this season.

This according to Italian news outlet Calciomercato.com, who report that the Nerazzurro executive sees Satriano as a possible option for the first team as early as next season and is closely following how the 21-year-old performs with his first regular action in Serie A.

Satriano had gotten his first taste of regular playing time within the senior game on loan with Brest in Ligue 1 over the second half of last season, where he impressed, and this time around he is on loan at Empoli where he will try and make more of a mark in Serie A than he had playing for Inter.

Marotta is aware of the need to look for value wherever he can find it in the transfer market given the Nerazzurri’s financial situation, and given that Satriano is already on Inter’s books he is carefully observing the young striker’s progress with the Tuscans.
