Inter striker Romelu Lukaku has every intention of remaining at the club past the end of this season, and CEO Beppe Marotta is already in talks with Chelsea about the terms of an extension on his loan.

This according to Italian news outlet Calciomercato.com, who report that the Nerazzurri CEO has already communicated with the Blues to try and establish an agreement on another loan for the 29-year-old beginning next season.

Lukaku is only at Inter on loan, although reports during the summer suggested that Inter and Chelsea had an informal agreement that he would stay at the Nerazzurri for more than just this season, with a view to an eventual permanent transfer.

The Belgian is not in the plans of newly-appointed Chelsea coach Graham Potter, who took over after the Blues sacked Thomas Tuchel who had endured a poor relationship with Lukaku, and Marotta is already negotiating the terms of another loan similar to the current one, which has a loan fee of €8 million plus add-ons.
