Italian journalist Matteo Marani believes that Inter have already lost virtually all of their margin for error after suffering yet another defeat as they lost 3-1 to Udinese in Serie A this afternoon.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, Marani suggested that the Nerazzurri have already used up most of their rope this season by losing three matches before the first international break has even started.

Inter have now won four and lost three matches in Serie A, hardly the form of Scudetto winners, and the sense is that they will have to make up for it with a real run of victories at some point in the campaign.

Whereas teams like Napoli, Atalanta, and AC Milan have given themselves a bit of a buffer at the top end of the table and can afford stumbles later on in the season, Inter are only putting more pressure onto themselves for later on in the season.

“The margins are already wearing thin for Inter, there is a real crisis of concentration,” Marani said. “You have to wonder what has happened with some players. Is there a lack of motivation? Is something wrong in the locker room?”
