Udinese head coach Andrea Sottil feels that his team did extremely well to win 3-1 win against Inter in Serie A earlier this afternoon, not least for the fact that they had to come back from a goal down.

Speaking in a press conference after the match, as reported by FCInterNews, the Bianconeri coach praised his team for clawing back a very early deficit and then going on to earn all three points in the second half.

Inter will have thought that everything was on track for their third win in a row when Nicolo Barella found the back of the net with a free kick just five minutes into their clash at the Dacia Arena.

However, warning signs appeared quickly as the home side started to overrun them in midfield almost immediately afterwards, with Sottil’s men rewarded for their efforts with an equalizer through a Milan Skriniar own goal from a set piece, before going on to win the match.

“Today we played a great match from start to finish,” the coach said, “with great organization and humility. We immediately tried to press Inter high up the pitch and that wasn’t easy especially after going down to a team like Inter.”

“But this team is doing what I ask them to,” he continued, “showing the right attitude and the right tempo of play.”

“We continued to create, we equalized, we deservedly won the game,” he added. “I saw the spirit I wanted to see from both the players who started and the ones who came on as substitutes. It was a deserved victory, congratulations to the guys.”
