Inter are set to hold a meeting between coach Simone Inzaghi and the club directors sometime between today and Wednesday where they will discuss how they can put their bad early form behind them.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper La Repubblica, who report that the directors are gearing up for a round of crisis talks with the coach where they will bring up all the issues that have emerged in the early weeks of the season and formulate a plan to overcome them.

Inter’s start to the campaign has been mediocre to put it generously, with issues in terms of compactness, concentration, and physical fitness that had been present as far back as the start of preseason lingering around and condemning the team to three defeats in their opening seven Serie A matches as well as a meek loss to Bayern Munich in the Champions League.

The directors are demanding a response, with Inzaghi the man who is first and foremost to be held accountable for the litany of cracks that have not even been papered over, and the meeting to work things out should happen early this week.
