Inter’s 3-1 loss at the hands of Udinese yesterday afternoon meant that they have lost three of their opening seven matches in Serie A this season, having also fallen to defeat in clashes with Lazio and the Milan derby against AC Milan.

As football statistics account Opta pointed out in a tweet, this is a rarity for the Nerazzurri, and is in fact only the fourth time that the club has lost three out of four in their first seven since the 1994-95 campaign.

They tweeted, “3 – This is the fourth time since 1994/95 that Inter have lost at least 3 of the first 7 matches of a #SerieA season: 1998/99, 2000/01 and 2011/12 the others (Inter did not finish in the first 4 at the end of the tournament in these 3 seasons). Trouble.
