Inter striker Romelu Lukaku is once again back to work on the pitch as he gets closer and closer to a return to full fitness ahead of his anticipated return in the Nerazzurri’s Serie A clash with Roma.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, who report that the Belgian is now working on his own on the training pitch and close to being able to make a return to full training, whilst midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu is also working on a personalized recovery program.

Lukaku missed the Nerazzurri’s last six matches with a thigh strain, but the 29-year-old has long been targeting the match against the Giallorossi at the start of next month to make his return to action.

The striker is very close to being able to return to full fitness so that he can be at his best for the Nerazzurri’s first match back from the international break.

Meanwhile, Calhanoglu is also carrying a thigh problem, which caused the 28-year-old to miss Inter’s Serie A loss to Udinese over the weekend, and is currently working alone to put the injury behind him.
