Inter, Juventus, Roma, and AC Milan are four of Italy’s biggest and most historical clubs, and so the prospect of all four managing to lose in Serie A in one day is not something that one would expect to happen very frequently.

However, that is exactly what happened on Sunday as the quartet fell to disappointing defeats against Udinese, Monza, Atalanta, and Napoli respectively.

As football statistics account Opta pointed out in a tweet, this was the first time that all four have lost on a single day in more than fifty years.

They tweeted, “4 – #Inter, #Juventus, #Roma and #ACMilan have lost a #SerieA match in a single day for the first time since February 13th, 1955. Rarity.”
