Inter could at one point boast three starters from a historically great German national team in their starting eleven at the same time, in the form of defender Andreas Brehme, midfielder Lothar Matthaus, and striker Jurgen Klinsmann.

The three greats were icons in a Nerazzurri shirt, both individually and as a trio, representing a special moment in the club’s history, and Brehme posted a cartoon of the three in Inter shirts on his Instagram account.
