Representatives from Inter, AC Milan, and the Lega Serie A are in Saudi Arabia where they are discussing various logistical matters related to the gulf state’s hosting of the Supercoppa Italiana match in January.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the clubs and the league are ironing out various details of the match set for January 18, notably including the kickoff time.

The Nerazzurri and the Rossoneri will face off in the Supercoppa Italiana this season as representative winners of the Coppa Italia and the Scudetto respectively.

Where last season Saudi Arabia failed to secure an agreement to host the Supercoppa fixture, and it was instead played at the Stadio Olimpico where Inter beat Juventus 2-1 in extra time, this time around the gulf state will host the match.

The date will be January 18, but the kickoff time is yet to be determined, with the Lega preferring a prime time timeslot rather than 18:00 CET, whilst other logistical details are also being worked out.
