Former Roma, Sassuolo, and Sampdoria coach Eusebio Di Francesco believes that Inter have what it takes to re-find their groove even though their start to the season has been far from what they’ll have been hoping for.

Speaking to Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport in an interview published in today’s print edition, Di Franesco gave the view that the Nerazzurri do have the quality to put their early stumbles behind them even if they really have slipped up in terms of their form.

The start of the season has been one that few will have expected for Inter, who have seemingly taken a step down in most respects compared to last campaign, despite a summer transfer window that saw a number of promising signings made and Romelu Lukaku return on loan from Chelsea.

The evidence on the pitch has not been overly optimistic as far as the Nerazzurri being capable of pushing for their objectives over the campaign, but Di Francesco argued that “Inter have had a few too many slip-ups already but the quality is certainly there. They’ll get back on their feet.”
